From preparing and organizing patient information to ensuring smooth communication throughout their care journey, you'll play a vital role in our patients' well-being. This full-time position is based at our Hamilton, New Jersey office, offering a Monday to Friday schedule that promotes work-life balance. Hourly wage for this role is $18.00.What You’ll Do:
  1. Phone reception duties.
    • Scheduling appointments and assisting with questions relating to appointments, medications, authorizations, and other care related inquiries
    • Creating telephone encounters within EHR system, relaying messages with name, call back number, and detailed reason for the call if physician or managerial attention is required.
  2. Assist with patient preparation prior to visit.
    • Performing reminder calls to patients at appointment times.
    • Verifying patient insurance eligibility utilizing medical group/IPA portals and insurance portals
    • Verifying patients have prior authorizations for patient visits, if required
    • Updating insurance, prior authorization, medical records information
  3. Monitoring faxes
    • Responding and forwarding faxes to responsible parties
    • Uploading authorizations or patient documents into EHR
  4. Maintaining inventory and clinic supplies
    • Ensure work site has sufficient amounts of inventory at all times including medical supplies, kitchen supplies, any other supplies utilized by office.
    • Collect inventory and supplies requests biweekly.
    • Receiving and verifying incoming package and contents
  5. Scanning, faxing, emailing duties.
    • Scanning and uploading patient documents into EHR
    • Faxing or emailing documents to patients, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, pharmacies, other doctor offices
    • Fax or Email documents when requested.
  6. Provide front office support.
    • Greeting patients, checking patients in, checking patients out
    • Collecting and scanning patient co-payments, insurance ID, government ID
    • Assisting patients with new patient packets, arranging transportation, consent forms
  7. All other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 1 years of experience in reception area in a healthcare environment.
  • At least 1 year of EMR Experience.
  • Proficient computer Skills – Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basic office equipment.
  • Experience using Practice Fusion (not required but preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology.​​​​​Work is performed in an office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, lift and or carry up to 25 pounds.
